We are a locally owned and operated guiding company based in Big Sky, Montana. We strive to provide our guests with an unforgettable outdoor experience in which the enjoyment of the outdoors in a safe manner is the primary goal.
As the sole owner and operator, I first began my guiding career during the summer of 2017 for a boutique family trip company. Melding a passion for delivering tremendous customer service along with the love of the outdoors, guiding was a natural fit. I spent two summers leading week-long family trips in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park, spending many early mornings in Hayden Valley and watching sunsets on Jackson Lake. In 2019, I sought change and spent the next three summers guiding week-long family trips in the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska. In the shoulder seasons, I have guided all over the US from Arizona to Vermont, by way of bike, kayak, foot, boat, and train. I make my year round home here in Big Sky where I enjoy hiking, biking, and trail running

As a guide who has completed hikes with three generations in a single family, we've seen it all, including many who exceeded expectations. The only age restriction is that for the full day hikes, we ask that kids be six years or older. However, you know your children and yourselves better than we do. Being honest and candid about your abilities during the booking phase will provide for a better experience for everyone. We strive to have a fun and safe day on the trail, and sometimes that includes pushing yourself a little bit out of your comfort zone!
We carry a standard first aid kit to treat cuts, scraps, bruises. We carry a Garmin InReach that allows us to call for Search and Rescue when we are out of cell phone range. Of course we also carry everyones favorite, Bear Spray! Although the chances of encountering or needing any of these are quite small, we are always prepared for any emergency!
This is entirely dependent on your groups ability and desire! Safety is always our primary concern here. Big Sky and the surround trails range in elevation from 6,000 to 10,000 feet above sea level, and the elevation can have a significant impact on your body. We always take all factors into account when we determine hiking distance!
You should wear a sturdy hiking shoe! Something that you're comfortable wearing over uneven trails and for potentially long hours at a time. Socks are an important part to this equation as well! We discourage brand new shoes as its common to develop blisters before they are broken in.
We hike rain or shine! Please contact us if you have any specific concerns about the weather.
We provide a terrific boxed lunch from The Gourmet Gal's here in Big Sky. It will include a wrap, fresh chopped fruit, chips, and a fresh baked desert! Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, are all available.
The tip for your guide is not included in the price. Tipping is a personal matter, however reflecting the duration of the hike and group size are important factors to consider. We recommend 15-20% of the total trip cost
